How Braingo can increase math class attainment levels

Braingo is a fun and interactive classroom resource which can increase mathematical attainment across school. Based on the game 'bingo', Braingo allows you to create and store fun maths games for ks1 and ks2 students, in an instant.

Braingo allows you to set your own questions for students or choose from those set by other teachers, in different strands of mathematics. This means you can create fun maths games which focus on specific areas of mathematics; different types of questions; levels of challenge or mathematics aimed at specific year groups. Therefore, this game can be easily adapted to meet the needs of your students.

You might choose to use this fantastic, time-saving resource with the whole class or individual groups to assess prior learning; provide opportunities to consolidate new learning; increase recall speed of mathematical facts or to assess learning at the end of a unit.

You are in charge of the questions, so if the students in your class find fractions difficult you can create games to give students further practise in this area. You may have noticed that your students are able to recall facts quickly but struggle to tackle word problems. Again, you can tailor your games to cater for your students by selecting different types of questions.

As well as being able to create your own maths games, you can save them to your own games library. So, on those rare occasions when you have a spare few minutes, you can quickly and simply retrieve maths games for ks2 or ks1. In addition, you can share the games you create with colleagues to enable students throughout school to benefit.

Students love playing games, so Braingo is a fantastic tool for motivating pupils to progress in mathematics. As they practise, pupils will become more confident and more proficient in mathematics.

Introduce something completely different and fun to your lessons by adding a game of Braingo to your timetable
